Camp Courage

Camp Courage is an all-inclusive 4-day, 3-night summer camping program for adults with special needs, including down syndrome, birth defects, cognitive delays and high functioning autism. Campers enjoy fishing, dancing, crafts, bingo, and more! The program is held annually each June at Camp Farwesta in Stewartsville, Missouri. The program is ideal for individuals who enjoy outdoor activities and are comfortable being away from their home environment. Participants must be able to walk, shower, dress and feed themselves independently. Participants must be cooperative, enjoy being around other people and pose no flight risk. Camping fee: $250, which includes overnight accommodations, meals, t-shirt, activities and prizes. (That's less than $45 per day!)
