AU Community of Scholars

Discover the Community of Scholars pre-college summer program at American University's (AU) School of International Service. Designed for rising high school juniors and seniors, this program helps students deepen their understanding of international affairs and world politics. Participants enroll in a three-credit course taught by distinguished AU faculty over three weeks, featuring two weeks of immersive on-campus experiential learning and one focused week of online, asynchronous study. Residential students will stay in AU dorms and dine in campus facilities, giving them a taste of college life. Commuter students are also welcome and will receive lunch daily, along with the chance to participate in many evening activities.
