Our Summer Academy offers academic enrichment courses in mathematics, science, written and oral communication, career research, personal and professional development and activities that support college planning. The Bridge Program Summer Academy is held from mid-June to mid-July for students in grades 9 through 10. Classes meet weekly on UMSL's campus Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

At the Reynolds Young Writers Workshop, we meet daily in small morning and afternoon workshops (limited to 12 students per group). In addition, sessions led by visiting writers, individual conferences, and structured writing time further enhance your skills.

Collegiate-level students can participate in the Scholars Program so long as admission to a health professional program has not yet been achieved, starting from the summer prior to their freshman year of college through post-baccalaureate status. Collegiate students specifically focusing on admissions test preparation can learn more about our DAT Prep Scholars and MCAT Prep Scholars. From June through the following April, Collegiate Scholars will increase their confidence and preparedness for pursing their educational goals.

From a summer-only program to now a year-round support, the STAHR Scholars Program provides students with the opportunities, resources, and knowledge to become competitive applicants to health professional programs. Students in the Scholars Program will undergo personal and professional development as they explore and strengthen their interest in health careers.

Our High School Summer Institutes are ideal programs for students wanting to experience college-level curriculum without the pressure of a letter grade. These programs are designed for students to ask questions, collaborate with peers, and consider new ideas.

A five-week residential program for rising high school seniors. Students enroll in one or two undergraduate courses for credit and study alongside undergraduates. This program is ideal for students who want to earn college credit, challenge themselves academically and explore courses in a specific major or subject.

Essentials of Entrepreneurship is an intensive two-week summer program for a select group of high school students currently enrolled in 9th to 11th grades. This immersive experience challenges students to engage with peers, use innovative thinking, and learn the basics of what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

Essentials of Finance is an intensive two-week summer opportunity for a select group of high school students currently enrolled in grades 9–11. This exploratory program provides a brief introduction to the fundamentals of finance, as well as opportunities to explore finance beyond the stock market, including venture capital, corporate valuation, and alternative investments.

Leadership in the Business World (LBW) is an intensive summer program for a select group of rising seniors who want an introduction to a top-notch undergraduate business education and the opportunity to hone their leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Since 1999, LBW has brought students from six continents and nearly every state to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Future of the Business World is a dynamic learning experience for exceptional high school students from around the world. It is designed to introduce students to areas of research by Wharton faculty and engage them as the next generation of global business leaders. Students attend live daily online events and work independently. Ultimately, they use all the ideas and insights from the program to create final projects that make predictions about the future of the business world. This program is a chance for students to begin to identify interests and lay the foundation for future education and career goals.

Taught by Wharton Professor Adi Wyner and guest lecturers, the Moneyball Academy: Training Camp is a one-week introduction to statistics and coding. By the end of the program, students will better understand sports analyses in articles they may read, and will create their own sports analysis project. Students will also learn basics in how to read and write code in R, the advanced statistical programming language used by professional statisticians. Additionally, Moneyball offers the opportunity to learn from and network with other analytically minded people, which can prove extremely valuable as students continue in the sports industry.

Our on campus IN FOCUS Seminars expose students to top former and current Northwestern faculty and instructors highlighting themes relevant today. These two-week certificate seminars are structured like a college seminar course. Seminars feature discussions, readings and study; enabling a rich learning experience. Once you successfully complete your seminar you will receive an official Northwestern University transcript and certificate. Students earn a Satisfactory "S" grade by attending and participating in all classes, and completing all assignments.

Our online e-FOCUS Seminars expose you to top former and current Northwestern faculty and instructors highlighting themes relevant today. These interactive courses are two weeks in length, highly engaging, and are structured just like an undergraduate seminar. Once you successfully complete your e-FOCUS seminar, you will receive an official Northwestern University transcript and certificate. Students earn a Satisfactory "S" grade by attending and participating in all classes, and completing all assignments.
