Come explore the diverse and fascinating world of fungi with us. We will explore the ways that humans have interacted with fungi throughout history including their impacts as pathogens, food and medicine.

This course teaches you much more than the “do’s” and “do nots” of surviving a horror movie. Using a combination of films, literature, and discussion, you will study the horror genre, using monsters as a metaphor to explain the nuances of different cultures and societies. You will explore many STEM fields along with the humanities, learning practical skills of disaster preparedness alongside critical-thinking skills in the classroom.

The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) and Auburn University Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures Department are offering Fish Camp—five days of intense fun and hands-on activities blended into a creative learning experience that provides the broadest possible exposure to natural resource careers with an emphasis on aquaculture, fisheries, and aquatic ecology. This camp involves a lot of field/outdoor activity and is a great opportunity to learn from Auburn's renowned fisheries, aquaculture, and aquatic ecology professionals.

The Duke Pre-College Program provides advanced academic opportunities and an introduction to the college experience to students currently in grades 6-11. Our courses are created to give students access to cutting-edge curriculum and technology beyond the average classroom while connecting them with transcendent peers from around the world and influential professionals in their future field. In addition to accessing university facilities and labs, our students interact and learn from renowned faculty and researchers. Participants gain valuable experiences that prepare them not only for their college curriculum and careers to follow, but also their futures as empowered, influential leaders.

Choose from Duke University courses from across the arts and sciences! A selection of six-week undergraduate courses in Summer Session Term 2 (July 1 – August 11) are available to academically qualified high school students. Participants must be 16-years-old by the first day of the term (July 1) to be eligible. Credit options for high school students include courses at Duke University for local commuter students and online courses for non-commuters, including international high school students.

The Summer Multicultural Engineering Training (SUMMET) program is an engineering, science, and technology program designed for rising juniors and seniors who are from underrepresented populations, including ethnic/racial minorities, women, and prospective first-generation college students. Only students from Colorado and Oklahoma are eligible to apply to the program.
