In this special 5-day music camp, students will explore the music of the most popular touring artist in the world.

Directed by Dr. Lee Nelson, director of choral activities and associate professor of music. Introduces music teachers and vocalists entering ninth grade and up to music for the Iowa All-State vocal auditions. The 3-day camp features mass rehearsals, sectionals led by veteran choral educators, and optional individualized voice instruction. Campers experience a taste of life on Wartburg’s campus and can stay overnight in Wartburg residence halls, eat in our highly rated cafeteria, and participate in group recreation activities including indoor and outdoor games, open gym and pool time at the W, and karaoke, a camp favorite. The Student Conductor Clinic has been designed to serve high school and college students that want to further their conducting study. The curriculum is strongly rooted in formal conducting with opportunities to conduct a lab band, gain valuable rehearsal techniques, as well as phenomenal leadership experiences.

Ready to take your dance skills to the next level? This dynamic 5-day camp will dive deep into the exciting worlds of modern and jazz dance! Dancers will explore technique, choreography, and style through energetic classes and creative movement. Perfect for all levels, this camp is designed to help you expand your range, build strength, and express yourself through rhythm and flow. Bring a snack, water, and get ready to dance your heart out!

Our Upright Bass Camp offers a focused and enriching experience for students with at least one year of bass-playing experience. Participants will engage in daily stretching, technique classes, masterclasses, bass chamber ensembles, and private lessons led by expert faculty. The camp concludes with a final concert showcasing all campers.

The Drumline Clinic is designed for students of all ability levels, and on every drumline instrument. Over the course of 4 days, students develop their musicianship and leadership skills. They are exposed to both the musical and visual elements of a high performing drumline, and spend time refining those aspects.

Come learn the music of 60s and 70s rock icons such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones in our Classic Rock Rewind summer camp.

Ready to take your stage presence to the next level? This program bridges the gap between acting and singing, empowering you to own every musical moment. Think beyond belting ballads – we’ll dive deep into the art of creating a scene with your song, and weaving it seamlessly into the character’s journey. This camp is by audition only. Please submit a video of your student singing 16-32 bars of a song to stagesacademygen@gmail.com to be accepted into this camp. Taught by Stages alum and Tony Award nominee, Taylor Louderman.

During this week-long camp, participants will enjoy daily technique/sight-reading classes, piano ensemble coachings, workshop sessions on a variety of topics, supervised practicing, and performance opportunities. Two piano lessons are included; additional lessons may be arranged at $60 per hour.
