In our 1-Week Online Film Camp for teens, students aged 14-17 receive an exciting introduction to the craft of storytelling through film. Staying true to our hands-on approach, as in all of the New York Film Academy filmmaking camps, students have the opportunity to write, direct, shoot and edit their own short project. ​Production exercises and projects are completed during a weekday evening, including the execution of the shooting plan and post-production​.

The New York Film Academy’s 1-Week Online Acting for Film Camp for teens was designed by our faculty of professional actors to immerse students in the specific craft of acting for film. Through in-class instruction and exercises with your smart devices, students receive ample experience in the principles of acting for film to establish a foundation as actors.

The 1-Week Photography Summer Camp is a fun exploration of still photography in the modern age. In this hands-on camp, students aged 14-17 learn the tools and techniques to research, compose, capture, and refine exceptional images, and use their knowledge and new skills to capture a series of photographs.

During the program, students aged 14-17 will learn professional techniques from working photographers, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques necessary to research, compose, capture, and refine compelling photos.

In NYFA’s three-week screenwriting camp for teens, students aged 14-17 are introduced to the craft and tools of dramatic film writing. Guided by industry professionals, it prepares students for every phase of storytelling: from pitching their ideas, to outlining their stories, to finally writing their screenplays.

This new cool camp will help kids learn the basics about filmmaking, and offer hands-on experience with production, while also focusing on storytelling.
