Sing out in this intensive camp, teens develop vocal technique, stage presence, and performance confidence through dynamic exercises and songs from popular musicals and shows. The week builds toward a show-stopping musical showcase, where students get to shine and share everything they’ve learned.

Hosted by the St. Louis Public Library, students ages 12 – 15 will have the opportunity to sing, act, and dance scenes from musical theater and opera repertoire and meet guest artists from the industry. After the camp, students will have the opportunity to attend an Opera Theatre mainstage performance.

Set at East High, this high-energy musical follows Troy, Gabriella, and a school full of unforgettable characters as they navigate friendship, confidence, and chasing big dreams. When two unlikely students audition for the school musical, they challenge the status quo and inspire everyone to shine. Packed with catchy songs, fun choreography, and plenty of roles, this crowd-pleasing show is perfect for performers and audiences alike.This week-long camp concludes with a fully staged public performance for family and friends on Friday, July 26 at 7:30pm.​ THIS CAMP WILL CONSIST OF CAMPERS AGES 13-19.

MICDS Summer Stock Theater is a specialized program focused on theatre (acting skills, production assistance, and performance). The program is open to new and experienced actors and tech crew. We welcome campers who are interested solely in the technical sides of the theater. All campers wishing to act are given a role.

Students will study singing, movement, and performance skills while learning songs from favorites like Rock of Ages, SpongeBob The Musical, School of Rock, and more. This high-energy class culminates in a showcase where every performer gets their moment to shine!

Learn from Tony-nominated Broadway star Taylor Louderman, the original Regina George in Mean Girls! In this intensive, you’ll master song interpretation, strengthen your vocal skills, and boost your stage presence—culminating in a showcase to put your hard work into practice. Don’t miss this rare chance to train with a Broadway pro!

This particular opportunity is designed for campers living with physical, cognitive, or developmental disabilities to perform a fully staged musical theatre production. In just two weeks, campers will work together to learn songs, scenes, and choreography from a musical while enjoying daily activities like acting games and group outings to improve confidence and assist in developing social skills. ATA allows musical theatre to be accessible to performers of all ages and abilities in a safe and supportive environment.
