During NYFA’s three-week summer camp for acting, aspiring young actors work in an environment that reflects the many demands of a film set. Throughout the camp, students get the opportunity to audition for and act in other students’ films, providing them with a considerable amount of time to practice their on-camera skills. Students also complete an assigned scene as well as a monologue on-camera directed by faculty, recorded by staff, and edited by our in-house editor. At the end of the program, students receive an edited digital copy of their work. For graduates, there will be a final screening for family and invited guests.

In NYFA’s 6-Week Acting Camp, aspiring actors pursue their interest in performing on-camera. Offered in New York and Los Angeles during the summer, this acting for film camp challenges and inspires students aged 14-17 to develop their talent and build their confidence as actors. No experience is required to attend.

The New York Film Academy’s 1-Week Online Acting for Film Camp for teens was designed by our faculty of professional actors to immerse students in the specific craft of acting for film. Through in-class instruction and exercises with your smart devices, students receive ample experience in the principles of acting for film to establish a foundation as actors.

The 1-Week Photography Summer Camp is a fun exploration of still photography in the modern age. In this hands-on camp, students aged 14-17 learn the tools and techniques to research, compose, capture, and refine exceptional images, and use their knowledge and new skills to capture a series of photographs.

Founded in collaboration with NBC News, NYFA’s Broadcast Journalism School is designed to introduce aspiring digital journalists to the modern era of evidence-based digital journalism. In our 3-Week Broadcast Journalism Camp, held in the media capital of New York City, students aged 14-17 learn how the news expands across television, web, and social platforms. In this intensive program, students produce a newscast and gain real-world skills by creating their own news projects, learning the digital news production process from start-to-finish.

During NYFA’s 4-Week Online Game Design Camp, teens develop their own playable digital game demo with original 3D assets. This intensive virtual camp provides teens aged 14-17 the chance to immerse themselves in their passion for video and tabletop games, learning from active industry professionals. No previous experience is required to attend.

In this intensive one-week hands on camp, students will bring a developed idea for a short film. This program is a combination of theory and practical experience, as students study the core elements of screenwriting while working in supervised writing labs. Students leave the workshop with a first draft of a short film screenplay. The camp is held at the prestigious LUISS University in the Middle of the Villa Ada park, central Rome, and taught by internationally produced playwright, screenwriter and novelist Colette Freedman. All courses are taught in English.

The Entrepreneurship Institute at the Wake Forest Summer Immersion Program is an unforgettable experience for high school students.
