The Drury Leadership Academy is carefully planned for college-bound students who have completed the freshman, sophomore, or junior year in high school. The objective of DLA is to provide students with opportunities to learn about and practice leadership skills which will enhance their quality of life and prepare them to assume future leadership roles in our society. The Academy curriculum is a pre-college curriculum designed to use logic and reason to analyze complex issues, to communicate clearly, to weigh decisions with balanced perspectives, to accept responsibility, and to care about others. The intensive program provides a strong preparation for college classes and residential life in a supportive environment that encourages personal growth. The residential program runs July 14-21.

In Summer College – On Campus, students navigate daily life much like a college student – they take a college-level course, live in a residence hall, have meals with friends in a dining hall, and participate in social activities and events on the Syracuse University campus.

Summer College – Research Immersion Program (SCRIP) students work closely with research faculty on existing and new faculty led research projects both online and on campus. This highly selective program affords small cohorts of students the opportunity to gain college-level research experience. In some cases, this begins with the design of the assessment tool and in all cases, students are involved in the collection and analysis of data which culminates in a final presentation.

At Summer College – Hybrid, students can expand their knowledge in a 6-week hybrid course. You’ll live on the Syracuse University campus for two-weeks and then complete the final four weeks of your course online from the comfort of your own home – or wherever life takes you!

Stanford University Mathematics Camp (SUMaC) welcomes a select group of rising high school juniors and seniors from around the world for intensive study in advanced mathematics. SUMaC leads participants on a journey in advanced mathematics through lectures, guided research, and group problem solving. In an environment centered on mathematics, participants explore current lines of mathematical research, the historical development of important areas of mathematics, and applications across scientific disciplines.
