After “adopting” their very own plush puppy, students will role- play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian, including how to properly perform a nose-to-tail exam. These future veterinarians will learn how to sew stitches, remove ticks, make healthy treats, and vaccinate their dog. Students will role-play the key staff functions performed at a veterinary office and how to keep their “adopted” plush puppy healthy. These future veterinarians will explore digestion, the different parts of the canine eye, animal body language and how X-rays are used to diagnose and treat common illnesses.

StellarCamps are engaging, hands-on space system design camps requiring no prior experience. Participants explore satellite coverage, payload determination, and Systems Tool Kit (STK) software through teamwork and problem-solving. Designed for students new to aerospace or looking to expand their knowledge, StellarCamps offer four days of instruction and a final day of friendly competition. Topics include space exploration history, satellite design, rocket types, and orbit planning, reinforced through interactive activities and a mini-competition. In this class, you will get a chance to see your own cells, grow and look at bacteria from your mouth and hands, and see if we can find bacteria on surfaces in the building. Students will learn to use microscopes, learn about microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, and other) and have a chance to use scientific equipment, including growing bacteria on solid media and making your own slides and looking at them under the microscope. (Ages 10-14) *Students must wear fully-enclosed shoes (no sandals or clogs) and pants that cover their whole leg (no crop pants or shorts).
