Join us at Incarnate Word Academy for an exciting Babysitting Camp for grades 5-8! Over the course of this hands-on program, campers will learn essential skills like child safety, basic first aid, fun activities, and how to handle tricky situations. With expert guidance and interactive lessons, participants will gain confidence and become responsible, capable babysitters.

Learn basic Japanese conversation skills, writing hiragana, and cultural aspects of life in Japan. Greetings, conversation starters, basic sentence structure, and vocabulary will be practiced to get you started in studying the Japanese language. Do you have a child that is interested in the field of newborn/pediatric nursing? A child that is expecting a new sibling? Do you have a child that loves babies? Then this would be a great class for them! We have a limited number of babies for classroom use, so your child is invited to bring their favorite “baby” doll to class to practice with. (Ages 8-10) Students will learn about newborn care from a Pediatric Nurse and one of East Central College’s own Nursing Instructors! In this class, we will discuss topics that pertain to normal newborn care.

Elementary Strategy Game Camp will incorporate critical - thinking and problem solving through strategy games such as chess, spades, etc.

G.R.I.T. Business Academy is a project based two (2) week-long "business boot camp" where middle and high school youth learn skills such as entrepreneurship, marketing, and economics from licensed business educators and experienced business owners. During the first week, the students are engaged in the needed instruction to run a successful business. The students are also provided a snack and time to interact with their peers and mentors. During the last week of the academy, students use the skills they have learned in their own mock businesses. Each group of students are responsible for each part of running their businesses including pitching their business plan to receive funding, creating a budget for business, marketing their businesses, and more!
