This residential academic experience provides rising 9th and 10th graders students with a taste of college life. As a VSA student, you will live on campus and take accelerated courses with Vanderbilt professors, lecturers, and graduate students. Outside the classroom, our carefully selected residential staff members supervise the dining and residence halls, plan fun and engaging recreational activities, and help ensure that every VSA student has a fulfilling experience.

Summer Studios is a week-long program that offers teens the opportunity to cultivate technical skills in art and design with emphasis on problem solving, designing, communicating and creating. Students will engage in two studio classes, with choices available in both art and design disciplines, as well as in seminars led by industry professionals and college faculty. This program provides a rigorous art and design school experience, with students engaging in critiques as they work toward an exhibition at the conclusion of the program.

ACT Boot Camp is an all-inclusive test prep program that provides students with the tools they need to prepare for, and excel on, the ACT test. Students will receive in-depth review of the exam materials, insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests, a comprehensive study plan, and extended online support.

Campers will learn about veterinary medicine first-hand in classrooms, laboratories, and outdoor facilities that include Auburn’s raptor, equine, dairy, beef, and swine units. Campers will learn about public health, food animals, wildlife, anatomy, imaging, and first aid, as well as gain valuable mentoring about veterinary science careers.

The Building Construction camp hosted by the Auburn University McWhorter School of Building Science is a week long program geared toward rising 11th - 12th grade students interested in the field of Construction Management.

Stories cram your brain, "plot bunnies" take over your imagination when you least expect them to, and poetic thoughts keep you up at night. Does this sound like you? Then you are probably a writer. We invite you to join us for an intensive writing course at Auburn University, dedicated to feeding your hungry muse and sharpening your writing skills in three genres – fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.

For anyone interested in a field of emergency medicine, or in serving on the response team as a non-EMS responder in the government, corporate, law enforcement, or corrections field, the Emergency Medical Response course provides invaluable skills and knowledge to help responders appropriately help at the scene of an emergency. This team-based, interactive course covers topics such as medical terminology, effective communication, and basic patient assessment techniques. Campers will learn how to take vitals, proper lifting and moving skills, in addition to treatment for a variety of common emergencies. Campers will also earn their healthcare-level American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
