For a truly immersive college experience, students who will be 16 years of age or older at the program’s start are eligible to reside on our Morningside Campus: a serene academic community where they will always be mere steps away from classrooms, libraries, amenities—and New York City.

Monday through Friday, students will join their virtual classrooms to refine their academic skills through a variety of activities—class discussions, debates, simulations, individual and group projects, Student Life workshops, and more.

The Columbia Writing Academy is a two-week online course created and designed by Dr. Nancy Sommers to help students develop their own personal voice and style, and use those skills to craft a unique and impressive college admissions essay.

Pre-college programs provide unique opportunities for motivated students to experience life and learning in a college environment. Our program is modeled after the Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts. Now in its 25th year, the Wagner Plan puts equal emphasis on classroom learning and experiential opportunities.

This immersive and collaborative course will introduce you to great essayists including Annie Dillard, Charles Simic, and Richard Rodriguez, and help you find your own distinctive narrative voice.

Understanding Your Money is a self-paced online program for high school students. Offering an introduction to fundamental economic concepts, including investing and basic money management skills, this program is designed to help students make smarter financial decisions. In addition to online video lessons delivered by Wharton faculty, the program also includes related readings, activities, glossary terms, and quizzes to test learning.

Developed by Wharton Professor Adi Wyner and the Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative, Moneyball Academy: Training Camp FLEX is a four week, online introduction to statistics and coding. Designed with busy students in mind, the virtual platform includes flexible, asynchronous learning modules that allow students to progress through the course content on their own schedule, while live interactions with instructors, guest speakers, and Teaching Assistants allow students to build connections to peers and across industry.
