Join our Chess Club and learn how to play this great game. More advanced strategies and concepts will be taught to experienced students. This camp includes a chess tournament and a short award ceremony on the final day.

Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut, and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like “How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth? How could robotic arms help make our world a better place?” Then, they create a storyboard and presentation to share their spinoff project and work on their science communication skills

We use games and music to keep the energy high all while learning the basic strokes of tennis and pickleball. Your child will have loads of fun learning the many differences and similarities between pickleball and tennis. No standing around in long lines; we are literally moving and grooving from start to end! This class is great for kids of any age and ability as we structure and break up each class accordingly.

Build and design your own skateboard! We’ll spend a week sawing, filing, sanding, and designing our own professional-style skateboard decks using wood from Santa Cruz skateboard company! We’ll also spend a lot of time skateboarding on a variety of different types of skateboards (and a mountain board), so bring your pads, helmet, and water bottle

During this awesome full camp participants will be separated into appropriate age groups and activities will change every 30 - 60 minutes. The structure of this program is designed to keep your child engaged and learning, while having fun. Taught by Recreation Academy.

How can I be kind?  Read stories and have discussions about showing kindness and empathy toward others.  Create crafts to reinforce thoughtfulness, thinking of others and empathy.  Make a class project to give to an area nursing home.  Do fun activities that will help with learning how to share yourself with others and being able to know when others need you!
