What's so special about a taco bar? Well, to start it includes homemade corn tortillas with all the fixins like salsa, chips, guacamole, fresh corn, black beans and cheese. Students will learn chopping skills, sauté skills and baking skills all with hands-on participation and teamwork. We will end the week with a sweet dessert called flan. Come join us for a week of fun!

Jump into growing good food without chemicals. This class is held mid-gardening season so we get to work with soils and good insects, and we get to learn plant pruning and harvesting techniques. Taking the phase 1 course is not required as this phase 2 class does cover new topics. We will harvest plants that were started in the phase 1 camp. This camp is great for those considering careers in agriculture or just have an interest in gardening and organic food production.

The French word for "small ovens". Petit Fours is a small bite-sized confectionery or savory appetizer. This class will cover all types of Petit Fours: small bits of cheese cake squares with fruit and chocolate garnishes; lava cakes drizzled with a caramel sauce; French madeleine cookies served with hot-spiced teas; mini lemon tartlets topped in meringue finished with a blowtorch to give it that fireside look; florentine cookies coated in chocolate and serviced with ice cream; truffles, bite-sized cakes and more bite sized desserts. Your summer will be filled with sweets and fun.

Explore the intriguing aspects of aviation: from how an aircraft is built to the aerodynamic aspects of what makes planes fly and how weather affects flight. This camp is also an opportunity to discover aviation careers and possible routes to get there.

3D printing changed the way inventors take their ideas from thought to reality. In this camp, you will build and tune your very own 3D printer that is capable of printing plastic parts. You will take your 3D printer home to enjoy making products at home. No experience required. Registration deadline is July 1.

The M*A*S*H camp was created young adolescents interested in health careers and to build basic skills common to all health careers (CPR, first aid, infection control, etc.). There are four levels of M*A*S*H camp, which will allow students the opportunity to advance their learning during four summers. This exciting weeklong-day camp utilizes the nursing faculty, students and many community members from various health professions to provide fun hands-on learning. Students are exposed to campus life, eating in the college dining hall and utilizing the recreation center.

This camp will cover setting, character development, plot structure, creating scenes from narrative and revision. Students will create and revise a short story/novel chapter to share with the class and parents on the last day. Students will design a cover and we will bind their work. Students will edit each other's work and the instructor will cover methods and sources for publishing original work.

If you’ve thought about building your own custom computer this camp is for you! Learn all about selecting the right parts and how to buy them at the best price. Hands-on assembly of computers in our lab will ensure that you receive the skills you need to build your own computer.

Learn the basics of computer coding in this camp. We use a program called Scratch, to learn the structure of programing to create your own games and animations. No coding experience needed, we start from ground zero! Explore career options in the field of computer coding and IT while learning by hands-on experiences what it would be like to work in a technology field.

During this new and exciting camp, you will learn the details of the P-Tech program for advanced manufacturing. It will include machining, welding and mechanical engineering technology. Students will learn how to apply, where to meet and what the requirements and opportunities are for the program. Participants will do team building as a cohort of students going through the program together. Students will meet instructors and spend time in the classrooms and labs where the program will be held. During your campus visits, you will meet industry experts and explore careers in the field. Attendance in this on-boarding week is essential to involvement in the P-Tech program.
