Campers of all skill levels are welcome, even those new to chess. Learn tactics and strategies through lessons and puzzles, culminating in a chess tournament.

Mystery Spy & Detective Camp is an immersive, hands-on adventure where campers become junior detectives and undercover agents for the week. Each day, campers will work in age-appropriate teams to crack codes, analyze evidence, and solve exciting mysteries. Activities include fingerprinting, secret messages, disguise challenges, scavenger hunts, surveillance games, and logic puzzles—all designed to build critical thinking, teamwork, and confidence while having a blast. Campers will sharpen their observation skills, learn how to think like real detectives, and complete daily “missions” that lead up to a final Case Closed! celebration at the end of the week. Younger campers are guided through playful investigations, while older campers tackle more advanced puzzles and problem-solving challenges. Odyssey Science Camp provides area youth an opportunity to experience the excitement of science firsthand. More than just an egg drop and slime party, our campers experience real scientific demonstrations and come away with a little more understanding about how their world works and the importance of critical thinking! Extend your stay and explore this planet we inhabit! Rocket launching, creating circuits and playing with science are the standards for the week.

We will focus on chemical reactions, observation, and experimentation. Campers will explore reactions through experiments such as vinegar rockets and bubble races.

We'll start with the basics: Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! From decoding messages to metal detectors to lasers, campers have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take home lots of gadgets! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use!

We will focus on levers, pulleys, gears, inclined planes, and energy transfer. Campers will explore pulleys, levers, and ramps. Older campers will create rubber band-powered vehicles, build cranes, and more!
