This camp for students entering grades 7-8 will integrate biology, engineering, and computer coding for five half-days in July. Farmers and biologists have always used their five senses to assess the health of plants. Increasingly, smart machines can be programmed to do the same. Students will learn about the function of the human sensory systems and create devices to duplicate these systems using electronic sensors and tiny computers (micro: bits). Students will learn to program using a simple form of block coding. By the end of the week, each student team will have created and programmed a device to scan a plant leaf, identify common problems, and recommend the appropriate corrective action.

This camp is for youth ages 9 to 14 who are interested in the next level mountain bike camp. Our Summer Ride sessions are designed to introduce riders to Wheels Up Mountain Biking 2.0 Camps and help them feel prepared for the more rigorous off road riding. We still have games in the morning but we end that early and focus on MTB more of the day. Campers will learn new skills, develop more confidence, make new friendships, and take their riding to the next level. These riders have the opportunity to focus on specific enduro and downhill skills with an emphasis on safety and rider etiquette. We will also spend time showing basic mechanic skills, Bike games, and Wheels Up Obstacles including: drops, jumps, airbags, and more technical trails. These camps are from 9am – 3pm and riders will need to bring sack lunches with snacks! We burn a lot of calories in this camp!
