With three skill levels determined by a pre-camp survey, participants receive tailored instruction. Led by expert educators, campers enhance their technique, ensemble skills, and musicality through rehearsals, sectionals, and activities, culminating in a final performance!

During this week, we will learn a variety of songs, meet fellow musicians from around St. Louis, and even put on a performance for family and friends! The Midwest Flute Institute at SIUE serves the Greater St. Louis and Metro East Area, of over 2.8 million people including 40 different area high schools in both Illinois and Missouri. This camp is available for students entering grades 6-12 and college students. The primary focus consists of solo and chamber performances, workshops, lectures, master classes, and private lessons. The main objectives for our attendees is to provide an opportunity for intermediate through advanced flutists to learn more about the flute, improve technique, practice habits, make music with others in both flute ensembles and flute choirs, and leave feeling inspired to reach new musical goals.

The Percussion Institute is a "total percussion camp" for students in grades 6-12. This camp includes modules of performance and education for concert, marching, and world mediums. Additionally drum set, auxiliary, chamber percussion are all includedAll students will perform at the final camp concert which features percussion ensembles and marching percussion.

The 80s brought us a wave of new sounds and music genres, and produced hits that still rock the airwaves today. In this music camp, we’ll perform hits from artists like Billy Idol, Devo, Cyndi Lauper, Van Halen, Flock of Seagulls, and many more. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and practicing 80s songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

Starting in the early 90s, Pop Punk became a popular music genre that dominated the radio. It has produced bands like Green Day, Paramore, Blink 182, No Doubt, Fall Out Boy, and many more that will be featured in this music camp. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs, all culminating in a live performance at the end of the week. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

The 90s were one of music’s most important decades as grunge and alternative music took over the airwaves and popular culture. Come celebrate bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Weezer and many more in our Best of the 90s music camp. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs from the 90s, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 7-18 years old who have had some previous instruction.

In this 5-day music camp, students will learn and play music from some of the most popular artists of the 21st century, including Foo Fighters, Amy Winehouse, Imagine Dragons, Paramore, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and rehearsing songs culminating in a live performance at the end of the week. Great for students 7-18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

The Drum Major Camp is designed for students who will be the drum major at their high school in the fall and for those who aspire to be a drum major.

Get ready for a cultural adventure at our Spanish for Travelers Camp! Campers will learn practical Spanish skills to make travel more exciting and immersive. Through fun activities, they’ll explore the world of Spanish food, drinks, music, and entertainment while practicing conversational phrases and expressions. From ordering delicious dishes to enjoying lively music, campers will gain confidence using Spanish in real-world travel scenarios. It’s a week of language, culture, and unforgettable fun!

Sign up for Crescendo Youth Choirs’ Summer Choral Experience! Welcoming singers in grades 1st-12th for a FREE day camp on Saturday, August 1st from 12pm-4pm at Kirkwood Baptist Church. The camp will end with a presentation for friends and family at 3:30pm. Come enjoy a FREE afternoon of singing, learning new songs, snacks, games, and connecting with faculty and peers from the Crescendo Youth Choirs! New singers can also audition for the 26-27 season.

Learn about jazz improvisation and combo performance this summer! Join us for a week-long intensive study of jazz performance in a small group setting with Webster jazz camp faculty. Student will attend masterclasses, attend combo rehearsals, and focus on improvisation and interaction in a jazz combo. The week culminates with a Friday afternoon performance for family and friends.

This week-long experience, led by expert instructors includes full band rehearsals, sectionals and interactive workshops. Designed for both intermediate and advanced musicians, campers build skills, friendships and confidence. The camp concludes with a grand finale performance featuring both intermediate and advanced bands. Learn, play and grow in a supportive environment!

Develop your compositional voice and explore melody, harmony, and orchestration with guidance from experienced composers. Participants must read music and play an instrument or sing. The camp concludes with each student’s original composition recorded by professional musicians—a lasting showcase!
