The Design/Technology for Stage & Screen program is focused on design and technology for theater and film. By expanding the scope of your design ideas, this program will enhance your problem-solving and visual communication skills while helping you develop the necessary tools to exhibit and present your work. As the scenic, lighting, costume designer and make-up designer, you will learn to read and analyze a script, sketch, draft and build scale models, create a light plot, swatch and render costume designs.

Using a sewing machine doesn't have to be scary. Build your confidence and skills by creating a sample of various hems and seams on an industrial sewing machine. This course teaches you how to create LED designs on your clothes so that you can light up the town. You won't just look fabulous, you'll cover the essentials of each step of designing electrical circuits — including use of LEDs, conductive thread, electrical resistance, troubleshooting and the information to create your own fashion projects by upcycling your old clothes. Learn elements of design, engineering and construction in this fun fashion course.

Female fashion figures (called croquis) are unique to each designer. In this class, you will learn how to develop your very own fashion figures, complete with facial details to convey the right attitude for your designs. You will finally design a line of croquis wearing your original designs.

Learn a wide variety of garment silhouettes (sleeves, skirts, necklines, pants, etc.) as you draw on fashion figures provided by the instructor. You will then mix and match these women's wear silhouettes to create your own designs. Experienced students may also use their own fashion figures.
