Design, shape, and create your own custom cookie cutters in this hands-on family workshop! Using thin strips of metal, you'll bend and form your favorite holiday or imaginative shapes, then learn how to safely solder and finish them into functional tools. Once your cutters are complete, you’ll take home a special cookie recipe to try them out—perfect for baking memories together at home! This workshop is a fun and creative way for families to learn basic metalsmithing while getting into the holiday spirit. Note: One registration covers up to two participants (adult and child). Back by popular demand, the Foundry Art Centre Art Club is an opportunity for kids to explore, invent, experiment and CREATE! Students will explore various art forms from painting to drawing to sculpture and more. This drop-in art club is for ages 7-11 and will meet on various Thursdays from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Sign up for each week that you want to attend. Sessions include all materials and tools. If you need accommodations for this program, please contact the Foundry as soon as you are able.

Decorate your own premade gingerbread house with your family and friends. All materials are provided including hot chocolate! Gingerbread houses will include glue and will not be edible.

An afternoon of crafts and fun!

Get festive and creative as a family in this hands-on printmaking workshop! Using stamps, stencils, and collage materials, you’ll design and handcraft a set of unique holiday cards to share with friends and loved ones. Explore a variety of techniques like relief printing, block stamping, and layered textures to bring your wintery designs to life. Each family will leave with a bundle of handmade cards ready to mail or gift. Note: One registration covers up to two participants (adult and child), but is open to all ages and family units. Children and a special adult in their lives can celebrate the holiday season by joining us for a morning filled with gingerbread houses and doughnuts. Each participant will enjoy making a gingerbread house to take home. We will serve juice, fruit and doughnuts to all participants. Pre-registration is required. Please register early, the event may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Please pre-register by Monday, 12/8.

An afternoon of movies & crafts for the whole family! This month’s film is The Wild Robot.

This workshop is for beginner printmakers. Students explore the Japanese design concept involving the play and placement of Light and Dark elements as they are placed next to the other in the composition of art and imagery. We will explore visual balance as it pertains to symmetry and composition in only black and white.

Get ready to shape, sculpt, and bring your ideas to life with clay in Clay Creations, a hands-on winter break camp for artists!

Olive Explorers are sessions for little ones to explore new topics and activities. Session include story time, a craft, and playtime. For children aged 2 years and above. Parents are welcome to drop off or stay and play. If dropping off, and no membership, adult must purchase a day use pass.

Celebrate the season with a cozy, creative clay workshop for the whole family! Using pre-cut slab templates, you’ll build and decorate your own ceramic “gingerbread” house—no baking required. Add festive textures, cutouts, and playful details to make it truly your own. This hands-on workshop is perfect for all ages and skill levels. Families will work together on one house per registration. Hot cocoa will be served to keep the holiday spirit flowing! Note: One registration covers a family unit.
