The Allsup Entrepreneurship Academy at Saint Louis University's Chaifetz School of Business offers high school students the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, grow their business skills and develop entrepreneurial ideas each summer. Presented by the SLU Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, the camp connects participants with fellow entrepreneurial high school students from around the region, SLU students and some of St. Louis' most successful entrepreneurs while competing in a pitch competition.

This camp will explore the United Nations, a body founded after the Second World War to “save succeeding generations from the scourge of war.” Using a variety of active learning techniques, students will learn about some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Each student will represent a state in the United Nations Security Council, conduct research from that state’s perspective on a specific issue, and draft a Security Council resolution. On the last day of the camp, students will debate and vote on the draft resolutions in a simulation.

Following a 12-lesson (Middle School) or 7-lesson (High School) curriculum, homeschool students attend JA Finance Park® to experience their personal financial futures first-hand. JA Finance Park® is designed as a collaborative marketplace including financial services, education, insurance, entertainment, communications, utilities, and more. Upon entering the center, students receive a "life situation' with job, income, education, and family scenarios. In this tablet-based program, students explore and learn about different budget categories, create a household budget, make purchasing decisions, and pay for their expenses.

The Young Writers Summer Online Workshops provide young writers with a dynamic and supportive environment in which they can stretch their talents, discover new strengths, and challenge themselves in the company of peers who are also passionate about writing. Our online workshops offer an intimate setting for exploring ideas, producing fresh work, discussing the craft of writing (and rewriting) with instructors and other students, and finding one’s voice in a variety of genres, including short stories, poems, and essays. Additional events take place most days from 6:00-7:00 p.m. ET and include readings by visiting writers, craft talks, participant readings, and informal social gatherings.

Students will learn trial advocacy skills and the week will culminate with a mock trial competition followed by an awards ceremony and reception with family and friends.
