This program is designed to provide science-averse students with an exciting backdrop while they master the basic principles of sciences. Students write procedures for collecting and analyzing evidence for each unit. The burden of proof (preventing an innocent from false conviction) requires the student to understand bias and controls in experimental design. Topics include reasonable doubt and Legal guilt (statistical certainty); art forgery (electromagnetic spectrum); forensic entomology (ecological succession, biodiversity); ballistics (Newtonian physics); DNA fingerprinting (molecular genetics); poisons & drug typing (solution chemistry); hair and fiber analysis (microscopy, optics). Please note: In order to receive academic credit for this course, students must register for the full 6-week program.

Summer at Ross is a time of learning, exploring, creating, and having fun! We plan to continue our Summer Term at Ross program, which provides students with opportunities to learn new languages, make friends, and conduct hands-on research in engineering, design, and marine science from June 29 to August 7. The same is true for all of the excellent programs Ross has to offer this summer. The fun and exciting Summer Camp experience we have offered for over thirteen years starts June 29 and runs through August 21, 2020. Young athletes with a passion for sports can train with expert coaches from June 22 to August 28 in our new Sports Camp. Please know, the health and safety of our families are of the utmost importance to us. During these challenging times, we are keeping a close watch on the situation regarding COVID-19.
