Broadway Winds (Residential)

Broadway Winds, which is geared toward advanced high school and college-level woodwind players, allows students to perform, study, and collaborate with NYU Steinhardt faculty and industry professionals who have dedicated their careers to the art of woodwind doubling. This year’s sessions, which will be held virtually from the comfort of your home, will include overviews of individual shows, woodwind orchestration, paths to a successful career, doubling challenges, and equipment for doublers. Throughout the four-day intensive, students will prepare and participate in virtual masterclasses led by woodwind doublers of current Broadway shows. Once Broadway re-opens, and NYU classes resume, you will be able to set up a time to watch a show IN THE PIT with one of the musicians!
