Prereq: intermediate drawing experience at the 200-level or equivalent. Students draw the world around them: landscape, still life, concentrating on the figure and self-portraiture. Emphasis on continued technical development. Students consider how to choose subject matter in relation to personal interests and the artist's intent. Students study how varied subjects, methods, and materials can be harnessed for personal expression.
