In this course, you will analyze issues of social psychology, cross-cultural communication, creativity, identity development, and mental health in numerous domains of popular culture. Basic principles of psychological theories will be applied to the analysis of youth culture, social media, advertising, contemporary music and television, and the internet.

Offered for two weeks during the summer, Adelphi’s Summer Pre-College Program is open to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school. Scheduled to take place from July 17-30, this summer’s program features an updated curriculum that will allow students to explore an academic area of interest, while discovering all that the University has to offer.
