Rose Accelerate - Chemistry and Chemistry Lab

Get a head start on your college coursework, with Rose Accelerate! This summer online program allows eligible high school juniors and seniors to enroll in courses taught by faculty at one of the nation's top STEM colleges and earn credits towards a Rose-Hulman degree! Topics in Chemistry and Chemistry Lab include stoichiometry, nomenclature, phases, thermochemistry, and writing balanced chemical equations. Quantum theory is introduced in relation to chemical applications. Atomic structure is introduced. Bonding principles and molecular structure are discussed in terms of Lewis Dot Structures, Valence Bond Theory, VSEPR Theory, Hybridization, and Molecular Orbital Theory. Fundamental chemistry laboratory skills are introduced along with data analysis.
