ServantU

ServantU is not your normal summer camp! ServantU will provide you with a collegiate experience that will develop your leadership skills to equip you for college in the future. Based on DBU's college model, ServantU will give students an opportunity to encounter academics, student life, servant leadership, and spiritual life on a Christ-centered campus. High School students will experience an exciting week consisting of daily interactive academic courses, hands-on afternoon service/ministry projects, and fun nightly student activities. Choose from several diverse academic courses for you to build your own ServantU experience. Pick one of the ServantU Tracks and find yourself interacting with professionals from the fields of your interests. ServantU is dedicated to offering you the chance to experience university life, enhance your leadership skills, and develop your passions. Developing the Christian Mind is a class that all DBU undergraduate students have to take in order to graduate. This course is designed to introduce students to the lifelong goal of developing a Christian mind, and in the process, to impart to them a solid understanding of the larger purposes of Christian higher education and the educational vision of Dallas Baptist University. Chapel is another requirement for all undergraduate students here at DBU. Just like our students, participants with Servant U will enjoy a wonderful time of worship, followed by a message. RecLife is our intramural sports program. This program is very popular here at DBU, and Servant U students will get to participate in sports such as volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, and softball. Our Night of Worship events here at DBU are a time of worship and reflection. After a time of worship, Servant U students will hear from our camp pastor, Jason Hatch. The DBU experience isn’t complete without being a part of Student Life. These fun-filled events will leave the Servant U participants wanting more! Students will be housed on the DBU campus in residence halls. All meals will be provided in the DBU Crowley Dining Hall. Cost of camp is $200 prior to June 1, and $250 after June 1.
