Pre – Med / AP Biology Summer Camp For many of today’s healthcare professionals and field scientists, everything started with a love and proclivity towards Biology. A bio major as an undergrad is a great way to get in the channel that leads to Med school and beyond… but it is also a great way for students who want to become forensic scientists, zoologists, biologists, oceanographers and much much more! Biology is the key to so many of these life sciences as well as med school. For high school students interested in these fields, it is all about the Advance Placement test. This class will combine hands-on pure study of biology, including biology labs and experiments, as well as preparation for the test. Whether you are taking the test in the coming year, or a year or two down the road, this class is deigned to be an introduction to the fascinating world of biology. This class will also offer insight into the academic path to a career in the sciences or medicine. Students who are considering becoming doctors, veterinarians, forensic scientists, biologists, oceanographers, or other science fields, a background in biology is essential. Get ready to put on lab coats and safety goggles and do actual lab work in a University-level science lab! We won’t be sitting in lecture halls all day; we will be giving you the tools to excel in AP Biology and on the AP Biology Test. You do not need prior experience in Biology, Chemistry or anything else to attend this class.

Summer Scholars is the premier academic camp now entering our 14th summer! Centenary Summer Scholars academic camp features pre-college summer programs for rising 8th through 12th grade students. Located in Hackettstown, New Jersey, Centenary University provides a fun and creative learning space in which students can make the most of our wonderful resources. Our majors are a great way to experience the University environment. Our summer scholars academic camp program allows students to explore their academic passions. We introduce subjects that school may not offer, while encouraging students to experiment with classes as they begin to consider their college major. Our programs also feature fun structured events outside of class. Thousands of students from across the country and around the world have chosen CSS as their summer destination because of our unique mix of classwork and structured experiences as well as our excellent staff and top-notch facilities. We work all year to ensure every aspect of the pre-college summer programs are planned and curated to be the best possible. Our student get to create their future at CSS. Students try on an area of academic interest by full immersion for one week, and they get a chance to see themselves and create new possibilities for themselves and their lives.
