College Admissions Boot Camp Program

Begin your college admissions journey this summer in the company of new friends and seasoned instructors. In the College Admissions Boot Camp program, you’ll get a head start on the Common and Coalition Applications, receive direct feedback from college counselors on your application essay, hone your presentation skills during mock interviews, and take excursions to nearby college campuses. With college admissions selectivity on the rise nationally, the quality of the student applications has never been more important. This program offers you the chance to develop the major components of your college application before the school year even begins. This is your chance to take some stress out of your senior year while preparing a solid application that reflects your best self. • Participate in individualized advising meetings with program staff on college application and academic planning needs • Create and analyze college application list • Prepare the Common and Coalition Applications • Prepare a personal statement/main essay • Strategize responses to supplemental essay prompts (as available during program dates) • Application essay draft review by college admission officers • Develop interview skills with mock interview practice with program staff and guests • Develop resume document for college applications and interviews • Explore financial aid and scholarship opportunities • Explore internship, study abroad, and career opportunities for college and beyond • Visit multiple college campuses (campuses to be determined)
