Nursing Cadets Academy

Nursing Cadets Academy: JUNE 19 – 21. Age: For entering grades 6–9. Cost: $135. If you like to help others, you should consider a career in the exciting world of nursing! Participants will be exposed to various nursing specialties and learn how a nurse provides basic everyday skills through an introduction to first aid skills, and a hands-on experience with a high-fidelity simulator. The academy will culminate with a tour of a local health care facility. The academy will be directed by Clarke University faculty. Academy charge includes meals, field trip-related expenses, and t-shirt. Morning drop-off: 8:45 a.m. for a 9 a.m. start on Wednesday & Thursday | 9 a.m. drop-off at Mercy Hospital on Friday. Afternoon pick-up: 3 p.m. on Wednesday & Thursday | 12 p.m. pick-up at Mercy Hospital on Friday. Need-based scholarships are available.
