This intensive one-week jewelry-making course will teach students the essential basic skills of jewelry fabrication: sawing, texturing, forming, soldering and stone setting in the creation of wearable jewelry. All project materials (including metals and stones) will be provided as part of the course fee. Meets in the OSU Art Department, Bartlett Center. The Summer Art Academy is a non-credit commuter program of summer classes for students aged 12-18. Classes are taught by OSU affiliated instructors in 3 to 5 day blocks. Student can learn new skills and build their portfolios! The academy offers a wide range of classes: watercolor, jewelry making, drawing, pottery, and art history.
