Each identical session of Indian Summer Day Camp is a week long program offered for ages 9 to 13, interested in Native American arts and life-ways. Among other things, kids focus on several different art projects including pottery, dreamcatchers, Native jewelry, gourd crafts, and making their own moccasins. Activities include hiking, gathering wild foods, touring an archaeological laboratory and other UA museums, playing Native games and sampling authentic Native American cuisine. Located at Moundville Archaeological Park, campers from Tuscaloosa can be dropped off from Smith Hall on The University of Alabama campus at 8:30 a.m. and return to Smith Hall at 4:30 p.m. The UA employees will receive a registration form through the intra-campus bulk mail once available or via email by emailing us directly to llrasco@ua.edu. Museum members: $225.00 (per week per child). MAP Staff: $225.00 (per week per child). Non-museum members: $250.00 (per week per child). Multiple children from the same household after full price of first child will be $225.00 (Per week Per child).
