This Forensic Camp exposes middle school and high school aged participants to leaders in the field of Forensic Science and Anthropology as well as the abundant resources the University has to offer. The camp will provide attendants with a spring board to fields of study in Anthropology, Sociology, Human Biology, and Criminal Justice. Participants will interact with University professors and working professionals through a variety of presentations and hands-on experiences. The program provides an atmosphere that will challenge and stimulate the participants to be career and college ready. Several aspects of Forensic Science will be covered during the course of the camp including: forensic anthropology and odontology, crime scene sketching and analysis, trace evidence and print analysis, and forensic profiling. Students will leave the program with a better understanding of the world of Forensic Science and how UA Museums and the College of Arts and Sciences can help them on their career path and opportunities for professional success.
