For the Love of Color

This course provides an exploration of all things color. What feelings and qualities do we associate with specific colors? How do we perceive color and how can we use colors and their values to create space and form in our artwork? After an introduction to color theory that takes cues from Josef Albers’ work, students will explore color relationships through collage and oil painting. The final projects in this course are designed to offer students an opportunity to create work that enhances their portfolios. Limit: 12 students. **PLEASE NOTE: High School Students Grades 9-12 offerings are in depth concentration for each medium specific session. No previous experience is required. Art materials are provided and cost of those materials are reflected in the tuition.
