The goal of this course is to introduce students to the Artificial Intelligence field with a generic view of what is already possible to achieve and the latest trends. From basic algorithms to Neural Networks and theoretical exposure to the science behind algorithms, the student will have the opportunity to implement the theory in applications per their design and interest. Activities will include programming in Python as individual and small group projects. Prerequisites: Proficient in programming (1 year of high school computer science or equivalent). Application process includes: preliminary application, online application, written responses, work samples (if applicable), teacher recommendations, standardized test scores, transcript, $50 application fee. Need-based financial aid is available with the completion of an additional financial aid application.
