Come learn how you can develop into a world-class teacher! The Discover TEACHING camp is a special program that will challenge a group of future teachers to work with kids and start considering how best to transform schools to meet the needs of children and youth in the 21st Century. The reality is that the way we do school hasn’t changed much in over 100 years, and it does not serve all students equally. As our nation is becoming more diverse, teachers must be more inclusive of all cultures. In this camp, we will experience and discuss identity, culture, and innovation. We aim to recruit students from all backgrounds so we can learn more about each other and expand our understanding of the future of education. Applications can be found at bigredcamps.unl.edu.
