If you are currently in grades 10 or 11… Join the Summer Scholar Program and earn college credits during six weeks in the summer. Upon acceptance to the program, qualified high school sophomores and juniors can register for University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Summer 2019 courses and experience the college environment while still in high school. Enroll in our Summer Scholar Program if you will have completed your Sophomore or Junior year of high school by Summer 2019 and have: a 3.5 GPA; the maturity and motivation required to complete university-level course work; and parent/guardian approval. Resident tuition and fees for UH Mānoa undergraduate courses will apply; Tuition costs $462.00 per credit hour (program price listed corresponds to a 3-credit hour course). UH Mānoa Outreach College is pleased to offer $1,200 need-based scholarships to Hawaiʻi high school students participating in the Summer Scholar Program. This scholarship is available to Hawaiʻi public school students who qualify for free meals or reduced-price meals, and Hawaiʻi private school students who receive need-based financial aid. Scholarships are limited, and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and must be used toward UH Mānoa Summer Sessions 2019 tuition. This scholarship may not be used toward the tuition for online, off-site or distance education courses. Submit the Summer Scholar Program Application for Scholarship, Part A and Summer Scholar Program Application for Scholarship, Part B by April 10, 2019 for Summer Session 1 or May 13, 2019 for Summer Session 2 via mail, fax or e-mail.
