In Basics of Softball, students will be learning about the beginnings of softball including fielding and hitting techniques. We will play mini games to help aid in learning about softball and how to play. Cottey’s Summer Workshop is a week-long summit on leadership, skill building and knowledge gathering for the girl bosses, the change makers, and the barrier breakers. The workshop is dedicated to providing an environment where girls are encouraged to have fun while discovering how leadership takes a role in everything you do. The workshop is being offered to ambitious high school girls who will be entering their junior or senior year the following fall after the Summer Workshop. During the week, participants will stay in a residence hall and get the opportunity to follow their interests and enhance their skills by taking courses taught by Cottey professors. There are a variety of courses to choose from! Work-shoppers will meet other bold leaders from all over the world and get a chance to experience the Cottey student life atmosphere we’re known for. In addition to interacting in leadership-embedded liberal arts and sciences courses and the opportunity to prepare by experiencing college life pre-graduation, all Summer Workshop attendees who are admitted and enroll at Cottey College will be awarded a $12,000 scholarship to Cottey – that’s an automatic $3,000 annual scholarship!
