Nursing Summer Camp

Take a thrilling nursing shift and combine it with new friends and a week-long stay on a cool college campus, and you've got the Columbia College Nursing Summer Camp. You'll get a hands-on education in a state-of-the-art facility from professional nursing staff and practitioners, plus the adventure of sleeping and eating on campus. For the medically minded, the time spent in exploratory classroom activities, nursing skill sessions and hours in the innovative simulation lab could be just what the doctor ordered for an unforgettable experience. This overnight camp is ideal for highly motivated junior and senior high school students. Campers will have the opportunity to: Experience hands-on learning with realistic simulations; Learn how to prepare for nursing school; Join in a community service project; Discuss nursing specialty areas with professional nurses; Learn basic nursing skills; Complete a CPR course; Tour a local hospital; and Experience college life, including eating and sleeping on campus. A limited number of scholarships are available.
