Mizzou International Experience: Leadership, Self-Discovery, and Career Exploration

The first week of the session will put the student’s leadership abilities to the test. They will be challenged to improve their communication skills, utilize the power of teamwork, and think critically in leadership roles. Individual coaches will help prepare teams for a final presentation they will deliver at the end of the session. Students will embark on a mission of self-discovery during the last two weeks of the session. Each student will learn to identify their strengths and determine how they could help them in their future career. MIE also offers opportunities for students to network at world-renowned businesses, access nationally recognized academic programs, and get hands-on professional experience. Students will leave the session ready to set out on the path towards their career goals. Mizzou International Experience (MIE) is a destination for high school students who seek to challenge themselves beyond classroom walls and international borders. Located in the heart of the country, MIE is a program within Mizzou K-12 and the College of Education at the University of Missouri (Mizzou), which is home to some of the county’s top research and higher education programs. At MIE, our mission is to jumpstart student’s professional development journey and help them grow as successful young professionals and leaders. Our innovative curriculum is designed to engage and challenge high school students (grades 9-12) through interactive activities in an immersive real-world environment.
