Viking Band Camp

The Del Mar College Department of Music invites you to participate in the 2019 Viking Summer Band Camp. The VSBC centers on the comprehensive music education and artistic development of all students. We will provide opportunities for all students with at the very least one year's experience on their instrument to collaborate for five days of focused music making while making new friends and enjoying summertime activities. The VSBC will conclude with a series of chamber concerts and a full concert band performance for family and friends to enjoy free of charge! Please contact us by phone at (361) 698-1211 and ask for Yvonne Rodriguez if you have any questions regarding the 2019 VSBC. All band camp participants will complete a simple audition for chair/part placement. This is not an audition to get into the camp. ALL students with at least one year of experience on their instrument will be welcomed at the camp. Auditions will be held on the morning of the first day of camp in the Del Mar College music building. Students will audition major scales up to 1 sharp and 1 flat.
