Drum Major and Leadership Institute

The Colorado State University Drum Major and Leadership Institute is designed to train high school drum majors and section leaders in the areas of peer mentorship, visual technique instruction, music performance techniques, conflict resolution, and conducting. During the institute, participants will have the opportunity to interact with students from around the region including members of the CSU marching band leadership team, and a nationally-renowned clinical staff. Using a part lecture/ part group participation method, our institute seeks to give student leaders the tools to be successful inside and outside of their band program. Whether you are currently a student leader in your band, or aspiring to become one, our institute is here to develop YOU!
