This course will introduce students to the diverse world of the art of video game creation. Game Concepts Students will gain a basic understanding of game concepts by developing and creating a simple, playable game with rules and strategies. Each student will develop a simple but clear GDD (Game Design Document), build basic 3D elements in Maya, import them into Unity, and introduce basic interactivity and user experiences such as collecting keys, triggering lights, sounds, door/elevator animations and trap avoidance. We will also review how to generate game builds for web and standalone apps for Mac or PC. Students will produce a playable game level as their final project, which will be shown in the End of Program Exhibition. Please note: Pre-College courses may include the use of nude models. Course curriculum and faculty are subject to change.
