Creative Writing

Join Asbury faculty for a five-day creative writing intensive! Here, you will increase your ability to find inspiration, create a first draft and revise, whether you choose to focus on fiction, creative non-fiction or poetry. Learn to create characters that will move you through a story. Find the stories in your life that will inspire others, and see how you can convey them in creative non-fiction. Jump start poetry from universal prompts. Meet individually with Dr. Hurlow or another experienced writer for a critique. Participate in a directed workshop with other students in your chosen genre. The camp is $390 per person, and includes food, lodging, and all expenses.
