Dordt Discovery Days - Game Quest (AM class)

Strategize. Agonize! Cooperate. Instigate! This board game extravaganza hones your game playing skills in ways that Minecraft and Angry Birds won't. You'll learn board games like Acquire, Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, and Ticket to Ride where strategy is of vital importance. There's no Nether or Land of Mushrooms, and a slingshot is not the best weapon against the "Sheriff of Nottingham" if you aim to dominate! Hey, we'll even cover board game secrets and have some free-play time to choose from over 70 games to play. Dordt Discovery Days is a five-day camp for students who have completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade. Choose one morning and one afternoon class. Classes meet once each day, Monday through Friday. Resident cost: Includes Monday through Thursday nights in campus residence halls under the supervision of Dordt's student services staff. Class sessions, all meals, snacks, t-shirt, and evening group recreational activities are included. Fee: $360 A very limited number of grants will be awarded to students who show financial need. Grants are awarded first come, first served with a standard grant covering half of registration costs. Students can submit applications no earlier than April 1, with a deadline of April 22.
