At the beginning of the week, each ReMix participant will be placed on a vocal team. Members of each team will work together to learn various songs that will be performed in the Vocal ReMix Concerts at the end of the week. With the help of some of the a cappella industry’s most talented experts, including members of BYU Vocal Point and Noteworthy, each participant will also have opportunities to choose from skill-specific classes and workshops to learn more about vocal technique, vocal blend, stage presence, solo singing, auditioning, vocal arranging, and more.
Application Process: Click on the Audition Now link and fill out the registration/payment form and then proceed to the audition form. You will be asked to record a 20-30 second video of you singing a song of your choice. The songs can be in any style and the videos don't need to be super high quality, your phone camera or web cam will do just fine. Our team will review the entries, and we will let you know within two weeks if you made it! A couple weeks before ReMix begins, you will receive an email containing the songs that you will perform at the ReMix Concerts. It is expected that all songs are memorized before you arrive on the first day of ReMix. Solo auditions will take place on the first day of ReMix.
If you are accepted into ReMix, the cost is $535* for the week. This includes lunch each day, vocal and performance instruction from some of the a cappella industry's most talented experts, skill-specific classes and workshops, 2 comp tickets to the ReMix Vocal Concerts at the end of the week, camp uniform, YouTube link to the performances, and much more! (Lodging not included in camp price. Click here for on-campus lodging option.) *This price is available October 14, 2017 through May 31, 2018. A late fee will be charged starting June 1, 2018.
