BYU Musicans' Institute is for elite musicians ages 14-18 who want to improve their musicianship through a highly focused and rewarding chamber music, masterclass, and private instruction experience with members of BYU's acclaimed School of Music faculty. BYU Musicians' Insitute will be held Tuesday-Saturday immediately before BYU Musicians' SummerFestival begins. The focus will be on chamber music and solo literature for winds, brass, piano and strings, as well as jazz combos and jazz improvisation. If you attend the Institute, we strongly encourage you to also participate in the weeklong SummerFestival. Musicians' will have additional performance opportunitites during SummerFestival, and those accepted in to the Institute will receive a discounted price to participate in SummerFestival. We look forward to you joining us in this new era of greater music making! BYU Musicians' SummerFestival is a six-day camp for talented musicians ages 14-18. Improve your musical skills with other young musicians from across the country. Live the college life on BYU's campus, associate with others passionate about music, and receive valuable instruction from world-renowned BYU music faculty. Participants attend concerts, recitals, comedy night, dances, a barbecue, and other social activities. At the end of the week you'll show off your newly improved talents in multiple concerts for family and friends.
