Summer Pre-College Core Studio Concepts - Architecture and Interior Design

In this class you are introduced to architecture and interior design - the products, objects, spaces and structures for which these disciplines are responsible, and the design processes and methods for conceiving of, and creating these designs. Working with existing circumstances and environments, students are asked to propose and create new ones. Projects range from the design of an interior space to that of a small-scale architectural environment. Core Studio Concepts gives students a chance to take two classes. Carefully constructed courses address two- and three-dimensional issues of composition, form, design, mark-making and color. These non-credit courses are for beginning to intermediate ability level. Classes are held Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Need based scholarships are available.
