Digital photography combines the art, technology, and the great outdoors! Capture images on explorations throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula, which offers beautiful shorelines, waterfalls, and abandoned mine structures. You will learn about exposure, composition, and visualization. Explore creative possibilities as you refine your images with software like Adobe PhotoShop. What to bring: A DSLR is strongly recommended for this course. Hybrid and more basic cameras are also appropriate as long as settings like exposure, aperture, and shutter speed can be adjusted. You should also bring a memory card, card reader, flash drive or external hard drive, and a battery charger. If you have them, bring an extra battery, your camera manual, a camera case, tripod, and any lenses or accessories. Since you will be spending many hours outdoors, bring comfortable walking or hiking boots, insect repellent, and a water bottle.
