Gateway Writing Project is the local affiliate of the National Writing Project at UMSL which provides teacher professional development and youth writing opportunities. Writers@Play is a one week writing program for middle-schoolers focusing on writing, exploring, and creative building with teachers who are Gateway Writing Project teacher consultants. Writers@Play takes place at Refresh Community Center 829 Hanley Rd. 63130 in University City on June 9-13 Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with before care available.
